In her search for relief Valerie tried physical therapy, topical gel, pain patches, a spinal injection and narcotic pain medication and endured 10 surgeries without success. Then Dr. Raymond Sohn recommended an HFX trial in November 2018, followed by her implant in January 2019.

“Before HFX, I struggled with depression because I had no control over my body,” Valerie said. “Now, with the consistent 75% pain relief HFX has given me, I am sleeping well, walking for up to an hour, driving and I don’t need to take narcotics.”

Best of all, Valerie says, is that she can help her husband clear tree branches and logs and mow the lawn on land they purchased in northern Wisconsin.
